WINDOWS + D
Need to see your desktop and don’t want to minimize and/or close all of the applications/windows that you’re currently working in?
You could click the “Show Desktop” icon/button…..
Don’t know where it is?
Here’s a picture to help you find it!
But using this icon/button means you have to mouse around, searching for it and then click. Why do that when you can use a quick and easy SHORTCUT on your keyboard?
You can hide all active application and other windows you have open and reveal ONLY what’s on the computer desktop, with one keystroke!
WINDOWS + D
Press the Windows key and “D” key simultaneously in Windows…
or…
Press F11 on Macs (on recent Mac laptops, Command+F3)
“Command” is the key with the cloverleaf logo
What’s really cool about this shortcut?
Repeat it to maximize all of the applications and windows again to return to what you were doing!
WINDOWS + D = SEE YOUR DESKTOP IMMEDIATELY (hides all active applications)
WINDOWS + D = RETURN TO WHAT YOU WERE DOING (reveals all active applications)
TGIF! Have a great weekend!
